John Hunter and the Aztec Treasure by Pragmatic Play. John Hunter is off again to one of his treasure hunts, this time we go to the ancient Aztecs. This new game from Pragmatic has some features we haven’t seen before in a Pragmatic game.
John Hunter is pragmatic’s iconic hunter, it seems these days every decent provider has its own treasure hunter. The symbols in the game are J, Q, K, A, a Toucan bird, a black panther, a snake, a torch, John’s whip and hat, and John Hunter as a top symbol.
Off to the game mechanics. The game has variable pay lines which are much like the ones from one of our favorite providers Big Time Gaming. Every reel can have between 2 to 6 symbols.
The bonus feature is triggered by landing 3 Aztec shields. This triggers the bonus wheel which can give you 5 to 25 free spins. Once you are in the free spins the top of the game has a win multiplier up to x10 which changes with every spin. There is also a chance of hitting a retrigger by landing 2 Aztec
The game is highly volatile and we had bigger base game hits than in the bonus, this is probably due to the high potential of x9000!
